Characteristics

Erect, caulescent pubescent or ± glabrous geophyte, 60-140 mm tall. Bulb tunics lanceolate, brown, pilose with recurved coppery hairs. Leaves terminally congested on filiform petioles, leaflets 5-9 (rarely 76 mm CCR), linear to linear-cuneate, developing many linear black streaks when dry, apically notched. Flowers 1 per peduncle, with 2 alternate bracts in upper half, white, yellow or rose, with a yellow tube, often purple-margined beneath.
