Caulescent geophyte, up to 0.3 m high. Bulbs ovoid, dark brown with distinct apical beak. Stem up to 0.9 m long, rarely branched. Leaves apically congested, trifoliolate, leaflets deeply bilobed to middle. Peduncles 3-6-flowered. Flowers rosy or white with yellow tube. Flowering time Apr.-June.
