Leaf-blades ovate, 14–20.5 cm. long, 5.8–11.8 cm. wide, obtuse to shortly acuminate at apex, unequally auriculate at base, glabrous above, with soft short hairs beneath; domatia not seen; petiole 5–7 mm. long, pubescent; stipules triangular, 1–1.5 cm. long, 3–5.5 mm. wide, pubescent outside.. Inflorescence ± 20-flowered, forming conical panicles; peduncle ± 1 cm. long, pubescent; pedicels 4–5 mm. long, pubescent; bracts 1.4 cm. long; bracteoles straw-coloured when dry, lanceolate, ± 5 mm. long.. Calyx-tube 3 mm. long, pubescent; limb wider than tube, sparsely pubescent; tubular part 2.5 mm. long; lobes very narrowly triangular, 2 mm. long.. Corolla glabrous outside, tube (not fully mature) 6 cm. long, 2 mm. wide; lobes oblong, 2.4 cm. long, 8 mm. wide, obtuse.. Anthers ± 1/3-exserted, acuminate, with two short appendages at base.. Stigmatic club 6 mm. long.. Fruit red-brown when dry, pear-shaped, gradually narrowing into the accrescent pedicel, 3.8 cm. long, 1.9 cm. wide, glabrescent; scar at apex concave.. Seeds not known.
