Inflorescences cymose in the axils of the upper leaves and forming a lax terminal panicle, sometimes psedo-umbellate; peduncles patent or erecto-patent, rather slender, densely tomentose like the young stems and petioles, few-many-flowered, 37–10 cm. long; bracteoles thinly papery or almost membranous, oblong-oblanceolate, oblong-obovate or somewhat narrowly oblong-spathulate, much narrowed and subpetiolate at the base, 7–22 mm. long, pale yellowish brown when dry hairy outside, glabrous inside, very early deciduous and rarely preserved; pedicels up to 2 cm. long, densely tomentose.
Leaf lamina broadly cordate to circular-ovate or cordate-ovate, entire, obtuse to acuminate or shortly and abruptly cuspidate at the apex, often mucronulate, 3·5–17 × 3–16 cm. the basal sinus wide and shallow to leaf base almost truncate, upper surface thinly pubescent, more densely so when young, densely white or greyish tomentose beneath; petioles rather slender 1·5–12 cm. long, densely tomentose.
Sepals thin, almost papery, subequal, oblong or obovate-oblong, obtuse, densely sericeo-tomentose outside, 8–15 mm. long, at first erect, much imbricate, later accrescent, glabrescent and much spreading, ultimately papery, brown and often purplish outside, pale straw-coloured inside, 10–17 mm. long.
