Inflorescences paniculate, many flowered. Calyx campanulate, 5-lobed. Corolla tube tubular; lobes 5, semirounded. Stamens 4, didynamous. Disc cupular. Ovary 2-locular; ovules borne on septum. Capsule dehiscing loculicidally, terete; septum membranous. Seeds compressed globose, thick, nearly wingless.
