Leaves crowded on short spurs off the main stem or occasionally borne directly along the young branches only; blades usually turning black when dry, oblanceolate to obovate, 1.4–5.5 cm. long, 0.6–2.7 cm. wide, acute to rounded, sometimes mucronulate, base narrowly cuneate, glabrous to scabrid above, glabrous or finely pubescent beneath; bacterial nodules small, dot-shaped, several, scattered; petiole 0.3–1.5 cm. long, sparsely to densely pubescent; stipule-limbs truncate, 1–2 mm. long, pubescent outside; arista 0.5–1.5 mm. long.. Corymbs terminal on main branches or on slender 1–1.25 mm. wide leafless lateral branches 1.1–5.5 cm. long, lax, 2.7–4.7 cm. across; primary inflorescence-branches 0.1–1 cm. long; secondary to tertiary branches present; pedicels 2–7 mm. long, pubescent; bracts 4–7 mm. long, glabrous or pubescent outside, with silky hairs inside; bracteoles drying brownish..
