Characteristics

?Shrub; young branches pubescent; older branches with light brownish-grey thin bark.. Leaves confined to the apices of the main branches and short lateral branches off the new wood only; blades oblong to oblanceolate, 6–9 cm. long, 2.2–4.6 cm. wide, apex rounded, base cuneate, glabrescent above and beneath; bacterial nodules dot-shaped, sometimes raised, sparse, scattered; petiole 3–10 mm. long, glabrescent; stipules with a triangular limb and short arista, up to 5 mm. long, pubescent outside, with longer silky hairs inside.. Corymbs terminal on very short lateral branches (up to 5 mm. long) off the older wood only, few-flowered, moderately lax, 1.5–3 cm. across; primary inflorescence-branches 0.5–1.6 cm. long; secondary and tertiary branches present; pedicels 1–7 mm. long, pubescent; bracts 4–5 mm. long, pubescent outside, with long silky hairs inside; bracteoles inconspicuous.. Calyx-tube 1 mm. long, pubescent; limb-tube 1.75 mm. long, wider than the tube, undulate to shortly and broadly quadrate, glabrescent..
