Shrub or small tree 1.5–4.5 m. tall; young branches glabrescent or more often pubescent; older branches with pale reddish-brown, thin, shiny bark.. Leaf-blades linear, 6.8–12.5 cm. long, 0.8–1.6(–2) cm. wide, apex acute and often mucronulate, base obtuse or rounded, shiny, glabrous with midrib impressed above, finely greyish tomentose with midrib prominent and glabrescent to sparsely pubescent beneath, margins revolute; bacterial nodules punctate above, slightly raised beneath, few to numerous, scattered; petiole short, 2–3 mm. long, glabrescent to pubescent; stipule-limbs buff or brown, papery, truncate, 1.5–4 mm. long, sparsely hairy outside, silky hairs absent inside; arista 3.5–6 mm. long, hairy.. Corymbs terminal on main and short leafy lateral branches, moderately compact, 2.3–3.3 cm. across; primary inflorescence-branches 0.4–0.9 cm. long, pubescent; secondary to tertiary branches present; pedicels 1–2.5 mm. long, pubescent; bracts ± 2 mm. deep, sparsely pubescent outside; bracteoles brown, papery..
