Corymbs terminal on main and lateral leafy branches, moderately compact, up to 8.5 cm across (excluding corollas); primary inflorescence branches c. 2.5 cm long, densely pubescent; secondary and tertiary branches present; pedicels up to 3 mm long, densely pubescent; bracts c. 3 mm long, stipule-like; bracteoles inconspicuous.
Calyx pubescent; tube 1 mm long; limb-tube 0.8–1 mm long, c. 3 times wider than the tube; lobes 2.5 × 1.75 mm, oblong-semicircular, with midvein clearly apparent, sparsely pubescent inside, overlapping in bud.
Corolla tube 7–8 mm long, c. 2 mm wide at the top, glabrous except for the densely bearded throat; lobes 8–8.5 × 2.5 mm, ovate-oblong, obtuse to rounded.
Evergreen shrub 2.5–3.6 m tall; young branches densely pubescent.
Immature fruit sparsely hairy; calyx limb falling.
