More
Inflorescences moderately lax, 2–5(6.5) cm across (excluding corollas); primary inflorescence branches 0.3–1.2 cm long, puberulous; second-to forth-order branches present; pedicels 1–6 mm long, puberulous; bracts 2.5–3 mm long, stipule-like, membranous to chaffy, light brown when dry; bracteoles on primary branches often conspicuous, the remainder inconspicuous.
Corolla tube somewhat shorter than lobes, 4–7 mm long, c. 1.25 mm wide at the top, sparsely pubescent or glabrous outside, usually pubescent (but not bearded) at the throat sometimes with hairs extending to base of corolla lobes; lobes 8–9 × 1.5–2 mm, oblong, acute.
Calyx tube 1–1.25 mm long puberulous; limb-tube 1–1.25 mm long, somewhat wider than the tube, sparsely puberulous or glabrous; lobes 0.6–1.5 mm long, linear-subulate, well spaced.
Inflorescence-supporting branches 5–20 cm long, slender, bearing 1–2 pairs of mature leaves near apex and very often a third pair at about mid-point, or this node naked.
Shrub or small tree (1)2.5–7 m tall; young branches puberulous; older branches slender, covered with fawn bark.
