Flowers: epicalyx with ovate segments mostly > 2 mm wide, segments veined; calyx accrescent, enclosing fruit; petals 8-10 mm long, white, pale yellow, cream-coloured or orange with or without reddish centre; Oct.-Apr. Fruit with epicalyx segments persisting as a star-shaped structure under fruit; mericarps with convex lateral sides.
