Characteristics

Straggling herb or subshrub, 0.1-0.2 m high. Leaves small, ovate-cordiform, mostly shallowly 3-lobed, upper leaves more deeply sinuate basally, margins crisped and crenate; abaxially prominently ribbed, both surfaces villous. Inflorescences of 3-7-flowered pseudo-umbels. Sepals white-villous. Petals 5, white, pink or deeply pink; posterior 2 deeper pink with delicate purple markings; anterior 3 pale pink with slightly darker band in centre. Fertile stamens 5, anthers pink. Flowering time Nov.-Mar.
