Characteristics

Dwarf shrub, 0.1-0.5 m high. Stems woody, glabrous; covered in remains of petioles. Leaves digitate-pinnately compound, membranous with silky or glandular hairs; blade roundish in outline, up to 70 mm in diameter, pinnae pinnatisect with linear segments, 1-2 mm in diameter, apices acute, margins ± revolute; petioles up to 170 mm long. Flowers: peduncle with 2-5 flowers in a pseudo-umbel; pedicels 2-5 mm long; petals 5, base cuneate, posterior two petals 15-25 x 1.5-2.5 mm, anterior petals 10-22 x 2.5-4.0 mm, white or cream-coloured, with or without a few wine-red longitudinal lines near bases; Jan.-Dec.
