Spreading, branched, aromatic shrub, 1.0-1.5 m high; main stem woody, side branches herbaceous, variously hairy, often glandular. Leaves petiolate; lamina distinctly cordate, flat or curled, 60 x 50 mm, unlobed or shallowly lobed, margins finely to coarsely toothed; canescent below, indumentum variable. Inflorescences branched, of 4-8-flowered pseudo-umbels. Petals papilionaceous, pink or purple; posterior 2 with darker purple stripes, much larger than anterior 3, that are lighter in colour. Flowering time June-Jan.
Shrub to 1 m. Leaves cordate, white-hairy beneath, aromatic, ± 5 cm diam. Flowers to 12 on short, axillary peduncles, ± 40 mm diam., purple, lower petals much wider than upper; hypanthium 2-12 mm long, shorter than pedicel.
