Characteristics

Floriferum 15 cm altum. Tuber ovoideum, 15 mm crassum, griseum vel griseo-fuscum. Folia satis numerosa, demum decidua et in specimine obvio nulla; bases petiolorum persistentes et pilis albidis rigidis adpressis satis dense obsitae. Stipulae usque 25-43 cm [as '10-17 inm'] longae, fere usque ad medium petiolo adnatae, rubro-fuscae; partes liberae lineares, pilosae, saepe 7 mm longae. Umbella composita; scapus communis 5 cm longus. Pedunculi 5-6 cm longi, 11/4-11/2 mm crassi, sparsim puberuli, circ. 8-12-flori. Bracteae subulatae, 2-3 mm longae, pilis griseis subhirsutae. Flores sessiles, foliis praecociores. Calyx pilis adpressis griseis brevissimis puberulus; calcar sepalis 7-10-plo longius, 5 cm longum; sepala lanceolata vel lanceolato-linearia, acuta, leviter membranaceo-marginata, 6-71/2 mm longa, 11/4-11/2 mm lata. Petala sepalis usque 21/2-plo longiora, usque 15 mm longa, e basibus unguiculatis spathulata, apice rotundata, albida (?) vel pallide lutea. Rostrum fructus immaturi pilis lanatis hirsutiusculum.
