Characteristics

Stemless perennial, 0.1-0.15 m high; rootstock ovoid, tuberous, 20 x 10 mm with brown, exfoliating tunics. Leaves hysteranthous, bi-tripinnatipartite, pinnae 3-5, ultimate laciniate divaricate, linear to spathulate, up to 27 x 3.5 mm; petioles 40-550 mm long. Inflorescences of simple or one-branched scapes, bearing 4-6-flowered umbels. Petals 5, narrowly spathulate, clawed, 10 x 3 mm; rosy-white with carmine veins from claws. Stamens 4. Flowering time Jan.-Mar.
