Characteristics

Small, tuberous geophyte, up to 130 mm tall. Leaves simple to trifoliolate, blade ovate, up to 35 x 25 mm, reddish purple beneath. Flowers in 3-6(-9) clusters on a branched peduncle, up to 17 in each, subsessile, petals 5, white to pale yellow, upper 2 with central red blotches, 16-19 mm long, hypanthium 30-45 mm long.
