Characteristics

Prostrate, subshrub, 0.1-0.3 m high; main stem short and thick, flowering branches herbaceous, sprawling, up to 0.6 m long; roots slightly tuberous. Leaves strongly apple-mint-scented, simple; lamina roundish, ovate-cordate, 30-40 mm in diam., apple-green, shallowly lobed, base cordate, margins obtusely crenate; pubescent with fine, short hairs; petioles very long. Inflorescences of 3-10-flowered pseudo-umbels. Petals 5, slightly longer than sepals, white or occasionally pale pink; posterior 2 with crimson markings. Flowering time Jan.-Nov.
