Leaves petiolate; pinnately to bipinnately compound, pinnae divided into linear segments; blade narrowly ovate in outline, 25-80 x 8-25 mm, apex acute; petioles 12-30 mm long. Flowers: in a terminal bracteate system, with pseudo-umbel 2-4-flowered; petals 4, prominently unguiculate, claws inrolled to form a false tube at base of each petal, posterior petals with limb rectangular, apex retuse, 15-20 x 2.0-2.5 mm, anterior two petals with limb obliquely obovate, apex rounded, 8-10 x 2.0-2.5 mm, white, posterior petals with wine-red reticulation markings at base; Jan.-Dec.
