Characteristics

Erectum, floriferum saltem 40 cm altum. Gaulis teres, pilis mollibus puberulus, sparsim ramosus, apice umbellis 4-5 longe pedunculatis ornatus. Folia alterna, pauca; laraina basi sinu ± lato incisa, ambitu 5-7-cordato-angulata, circ. 5 cm diametiens, 5-7-lobata, lobis triangularibus-medio saepe fere rhomboideo-acutiusculis serrato-dentatis; petiolus laminae aequilongus, 4-5 cm longus et 1 1/2 mm crassus, pilis mollibus patulis pubescens; folia sursum brevius petiolata, summa saepe subsessilia. Stipulae late ovatae, acutae, usque 7 mm longae et 5 mm latae, pubescentes. Umbellae plures, ad apicem caulis corymbum laxum multiflorum efformantes. Pedunculi in uno ac eodem specimine 5-16 cm longi, cauli consimiles, 1-1 1/2 mm crassi, stricti, 5-10-flori. Bracteae ovatae, acutiusculae, 7-8 mm longae et 2 1/2-3 mm latae, sicut caljx pilis hyalinis mollibus saepe glandulosis pubescentes vel subhirsutae. Flores subsessiles, pedicellis 1-2 (raro-4) mm longis suffulti. Calycis calcar 3-4 1/4 cm longum, 1-1 1/2 mm crassum, sub sepalis vix ampliatum; sepala lanceolata, acuta, saepe rubella, pubescentia, 8-10 mm longa, 2-2 1/2 mm lata. Petala duo maiora, rosea vel carmineo-rosea, e basi valde angustata demum anguste cuneata, margine apicali manifeste emarginata; tria minora, pallidiora, e basi valde angustata lingulata, margine apicali retuso parum emarginata. Filamenta calyce pauUo longiora. Fructus 32 mm longus; rostrum pilis albidis patulis subhirsutum.
