Leaves alternate; stipules linear or subulate, 4-6 × 0.2-0.3 mm; petiole 1-2 mm; leaf blade herbaceous, obliquely oblong or oblanceolate, 5.5-12.5 × 1.8-3.5 cm, penninerved, broader outer half cordate, margin crenate, apex cuspidate; cystolith absent; nanophyll absent. Staminate inflorescences 1-2.5 cm in diam., peduncle 1-2.5 cm; staminate flowers: tepals 5, oblong; stamens 5; rudimentary pistil nearly terete. Pistillate inflorescences ca. 5 mm in diam., peduncle 0-1 mm. Fl. Feb-Jul.
