Leaves 5.514.5 x 1.5-6.3 cm, ovate to ovate-oblong or elliptic, acute at the apex, cuneate at the base, thin and membranous, sparsely or moderately pubescent above and on the venation beneath; petiole 0.3-3.5(7) cm long; stipules with 4-7 setae up to 6 mm long from a base 0.5-3.5 mm long, hairy. Inflorescence a small lax cluster c. 1.5 cm wide or trichotomous with individual cymes lax, few-flowered, 2-3 cm wide; flowers white or lavender-blue; peduncles 0-6.5 cm; pedicels c. 1.5 cm long. Calyx tube 1-1.5 mm long and wide, hairy; lobes unequal, the longest lanceolate, (3)4-8(10) x 1-3.5 mm, rest 1-2.3 x 0.25-0.5 mm Buds characteristically clavate. Corolla tube (5)6.5-10(11) mm long, 0.8-1.5 mm wide at the base, abruptly expanded at the apex to 1.5-2.5 mm for 1.5-2 mm, the resulting dilated portion being urceolate, all hairy outside; lobes 1.8-3 x 1-1.75 mm, ovate, acute, hairy on the main nerve outside. Stamens completely included. Style glabrous, exserted 0-2.5 mm; lobes of stigma 0.75-1.5(2) mm, mostly practically immersed in the dense throat hairs, sometimes the lower parts immersed in the corolla tube.
