Leaves in whorls of 3-5, usually 4; petiole 0.1-0.5 cm long, minutely pubescent; blade coriaceous fleshy, subrhombic, elliptic or narrowly elliptic, 1.3-1.5 x 0.4-1 cm, margin ciliolate at apex, obtuse at apex, narrowly acute at base, glabrous above, sparsely minutely pubescent below; distinctly palmately 3-veined. Inflorescence terminal, solitary, simple; peduncle 0.8-3.7 cm long, minutely pubescent; spike 2.2-6 cm long; floral bracts rounded, glabrous, 0.4-0.5 mm in diam. Fruits ellipsoid or ovoid, 0.9-1 mm long, slightly stipitate at maturity, stigma apical.
