Flowers white, appearing when the plant is leafless, the ♂ 18–24 in 95–120 mm. long racemiform pubescent inflorescences arising from the nodes; young flowers clustered at the apex of the inflorescence; peduncle 9–11 mm. long; pedicels 11–17 mm. long, deciduous; bracts filiform, tripartite, 5–7 mm. long; receptacle-tube cylindrical, 8–11 mm. long; lobes lanceolate, 7–9 mm. long; petals rounded, apiculate, free; stamens 3; thecae triplicate, with one fold of each extended upwards to ± 2.5 times the length of the other two..
