Origin: in Vista, Calif., by Paul L. Kovach. Introd. in 1949. Hybrid parentage unknown; seed planted in 1945. Tree: upright, slender. Now obsolete. Fruit: averages 11 oz; pyriform; skin dark green, thin, smooth peels easily; flavor fair, oil content 16%; seed averages 1 1/4 oz, tight in cavity; season April and May.
