Cultivation

Origin: in Leucadia, Calif., by H.E. Kemp and Olivia R. Kemp. Introd. in 1952. Parentage unknown; Guatemalan type; seed planted about 1932; selected in 1949. Tree: upright; quite hardy. Not propagated commercially. Fruit: weight about 8 1/2 oz; skin green, medium pebbled, peels easily; flavor good; oil content 24.5%; seed averages 2 oz; season August and September.
