Origin: in Homestead, Fla., by Dan Roberts. Introd. in 1930. Open-pollinated seedling of Taylor; Guatemalan type; selected in 1921. Tree: very productive; flowering group B; major commercial cultivar in Florida. Fruit: 16-24 oz; pyriform with stem placed obliquely, often necked; skin dark green, pebbled, rather glossy, thick; flesh pale yellow; oil content 8% to 10%; seed size medium, fairly tight; season 15 Oct. to 1 Dec.
