Origin: in Orlando, Fla., by J. Hugh Yon. Introd. in 1937. Hybrid of Guatemalan × West Indian types; selected in 1932 from seed planted in 1926. Tree: hardy; poor bearer. Flowering group B. Obsolete. Fruit: 2-4 lb; oval-oblong; skin dark bronzed-green, almost smooth, thick, leathery; seed medium-small; flesh very thick; season December to February in Florida.
