Flowers pedicellate, in fascicles of 2–3; fascicles surrounded by bracts and borne in ± dense, pedunculate, spiciform racemes; racemes 2–4, terminal, 4–9 × 0.8–1.3 cm; peduncles up to 4–6 cm long, glandular hairy; bracts 3.5–5 mm long, scarious, pubescent with ciliate margins.

Leaf lamina 5–16 × 2.5–7 cm, ovate-lanceolate, acute at the apex, attenuate to the base, ± pubescent or with glandular hairs on both surfaces, particularly on the nerves; petiole up to 5 cm long, densely covered with spreading and glandular hairs.
