Characteristics

Erect shrubs or small trees 2-3.5 m tall. Bark smooth, grey. Hairs greyish to mid-brown, appressed. Young branchlets moderately hairy. Leaves narrowly elliptic to oblanceolate, 4.5-11 cm long, 7-21 mm wide, flat, with recurved margins, spreading to suberect, straight, innocuous, slightly discolorous, not glaucous, sparsely to moderately hairy when immature, retaining hairs towards base but otherwise usually glabrescent, smooth. Inflorescence anauxotelic, 3-10-flowered; rachis 0.3-1 cm long. Flowers subtended by scale leaves or reduced leaves; pedicels 0.5-2 mm long, erect, moderately to densely hairy; tepals 9-11 mm long, acute, sparsely hairy on outside. Ovary glabrous; ovules 2.
