Much-branched shrub; branchlets with youngest parts densely pale lepidote and very youngest with small yellow-brown dendritic hairs less than 0.3 mm. long, soon glabrescent.. Petiole 5–16 mm. long; lamina coriaceous, oblong-lanceolate to ovate-oblong or ovate, 3–12 cm. long, 1.5–8 cm. wide, obtuse at the apex, rounded to cuneate at the base, initially covered with pale to yellow-brown stellate and very short dendritic hairs, soon glabrescent apart from sometimes a scatter of pale stellate hairs especially beneath, with 3–8 pairs of lateral nerves.. Umbels axillary and at older nodes, 2–6-flowered; peduncle 0–3 mm. long; pedicels 2–3 mm. long, pale lepidote-tomentellous, glabrescent in patches; bract ovate-elliptic to round, 1–2 mm. long, glabrescent.. Receptacle urceolate, 2–3 mm. long, pale lepidote-tomentellous.. Calyx 0.2–0.8 mm. long, slightly lobed, glabrescent.. Corolla 4–4.5 cm. long, orange-yellow to bright orange, puberulous with minute stellate hairs, glabrescent especially distally; apical swelling of bud ellipsoid, 4–5 mm. long, 3 mm. in diameter, with wings to 0.5 mm. wide; basal swelling slight, 7 mm. long, 3.5 mm. in diameter; lobes erect, 12–15 mm. long, upper half spathulate and hardened inside; tips 1 mm. wide, slightly winged.. Anthers 1.5–3 mm. long, with 5–10 cells in each row.. Style almost isodiametric, sometimes puberulous opposite the corolla-tube, with a slight neck 2.5–3.5 mm. long below the conical-globose stigma..
