Corolla 3.5–5 cm long, coloured by red-brown tomentum outside, reddish on head of bud, pink to orange-red inside, red along filament lines and darkening red overall, red-brown tomentose with dendritic hairs to 1.5 mm long and sometimes subsimple hairs to 3 mm, slightly glabrescent on head of bud; apical swelling of bud 3.5–5 × 3–3.5 mm, ovoid to globose-ellipsoid, pointed; basal swelling 6–7 × 4–5 mm; lobes erect, 8–12 mm long; tips 3–4 × l.5–2 mm, elliptic, apiculate, hardened inside.
Petiole 0.5–2 cm long; lamina coriaceous, 8–20 × 3.5–9 cm, ovate to elliptic or elliptic-oblong, obtuse to shortly rounded at apex, cuneate to rounded or shortly cordate at base, with fine felty tomentum when young of grey and red-brown stellate hairs, with some short dendritic hairs medially beneath, glabrescent, with 6–10 pairs of inconspicuous lateral nerves.
Umbels confluent around older nodes mostly below current leaves, sessile or subsessile, 2–4-flowered; pedicels 0–1.5 mm long; bract 3–6 mm long, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, hairy.
Branches 1–2 m long, longer ones pendent; branchlets tomentose with red-brown dendritic hairs 0.5–1.5 mm long, tardily glabrescent.
Style abruptly expanded to twice its diameter opposite top of corolla tube, then tapered slightly to neck; neck 1.2–2 mm long.
Calyx (0.5)1–1.5 mm long, tomentose, ultimately sometimes somewhat glabrescent.
Stamen filaments dark red; anthers 1.2–2 mm long, with 5–7 cells in each row.
Berry reddish, 1.5 × 1 cm, ellipsoid, tomentellous.
Receptacle 2–3.5 mm long, red-brown tomentose.
