Characteristics

Annual herb, erect, to c. 2 cm high, succulent, glabrous; stems with short internodes. Leaves linear, 2–5 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide. Inflorescence of terminal, few-flowered umbellate clusters; peduncles to 8 mm long. Involucre thick with indistinct nervation; tube 1.5–3.3 mm long; lobes 1–2.2 mm long. Corolla tube 1–2.1 mm long; lobes 0.5–1 mm long. Stamens 0.5–1 mm long; anthers minutely apiculate. Styles separate. Mature capsules not seen. Seeds not seen, reported to be reticulate (W.Fitzgerald, protologue).
