Orthotropic stems angular, leafy. Plagiotropic shoots up to 10 cm. long, the older ones sometimes co-axillary with secondary orthotropic shoots.. Cataphylls 0.. Leaves with petioles 1 mm. long; blades suborbicular to elliptic-ovate, 5–14 mm. long, 3–8 mm. wide, obtuse or subacute at the apex, rounded or rounded-cuneate at the base, thinly chartaceous, lateral nerves 6–9 pairs, not or slightly prominent above, prominent and thickened beneath, brochidodromous.. Male flowers: pedicels 1 mm. long; sepals 6, oblong, 1.5–2 mm. long, obtuse, yellowish green with narrow hyaline margins; disc-glands 6, free, sessile, ± discoid, densely tuberculate, the tubercles shortly cylindric, each with an apical depression; stamens 3, filaments connate into a stout column ± 1 mm. high, anthers sessile, 1-thecous, deltoid, nutant, minute, laterally and apically dehiscent.. Female flowers: pedicels 1–1.5 mm. long, not extending in fruit; sepals 6, elliptic-oblong, 2.5 mm. long, 1.5 mm. wide, rounded at the apex, yellowish green with narrow hyaline margins; disc hexagonal, small, flat, granulate; ovary stipitate, subglobose, 2 mm. diameter, smooth; styles ± free, 0.3 mm. long, divaricate, bilobate, stigmas subglobose.. Fruit trilobate-subglobose, 1.5–2 mm. long, 2.5–3 mm. diameter, smooth, purplish tinged.. Seeds triquetrous, 1.5 mm. long, 1 mm. wide, with ± 15 indistinct rows of minute transverse tubercles on the dorsal facet, and ± 8 faint concentric arcs on each ventral facet, ochreous..
