Frutex tri-octopedalis, ramosissimus: ramis teretibus, superne obsolete angulatis, glabris, rufescentibus. Foliola septm-tredecim, petiolulata, ovata, intergirima, reticulate venosa, glaberrima, (lucida), subtus glauca, policaria. Petiolus teres, floriferus. Stipula solitaria, extrafoliacea, tridentata, marcescens, insertione petioli: partiales geminae, parvae, sessiles, acuate. Flores tres-sex pedunculati in alis foliolorum, quorum unus faemineus, caeteri masculi. Perianthum pentaphyllum: foliolis subrotundis concavis purpurascentibus, subaequalibus: interioribus majoribus. Corolla nulla. Nectarium: glandulae quique, lutae, calyci alternae. Filamenta quinque, calyce breviora, subaequalia, subcoalita, erecta. Antherae oblongae, pallidae. Pistilli nullum rudimentum. Calyx maris, marcescens, nec persistens. Corolla nulla. Nectarium maris. Staminum rudimentum sape adest. Germen subrotundum. Styli nulli. Stigmata plura, saepius duodecim, simplicisima, erecta. Bacca vix Pisi magnitudine, subglobosa, depressa, violacea, multilocularis (duodecumlocularis). Semina in singulo loculo gemina alterum supra alterum, poro utrinque perforata.
