Characteristics

Like P. arxensis, but differing in having the leaf-blades finely reticulate above and minutely gland-dotted beneath, with the lateral nerves at right-angles to the midrib and prominent and perceptibly thickened beneath, branching toward the margin, in having the stipules minutely denticulate, and in having the ♂ disc-glands quite smooth.. Very like Phyllanthus arvensis, but with the lateral nerves arising perpendicularly to the midrib and closely parallel to each other, or even backwardly directed, often much-branched towards the margin, and very markedly thickened beneath.
