Monoecious glabrous shrub 2–3 m. tall.. Orthotropic shoots terete, greenish. Plagiotropic shoots 20 cm. long, terete. Brachyblasts present.. Cataphylls linear-lanceolate, 2.5 mm. long, acute, subentire, purplish brown. Cataphyllary stipules triangular-lanceolate, 3 mm. long.. Leaves of the plagiotropic shoots with petioles 2 mm. long; blades ovate to lanceolate, 2–4.3 cm. long, 0.8–1.7(–2.5) cm. wide, acute, rounded at the base, firmly membranaceous to thinly chartaceous, lateral nerves ± 10 pairs, not prominent above and scarcely prominent beneath, drying grey-green or brownish above, pinkish brown beneath.. Stipules linear-lanceolate, 1.5–2 mm. long, acute, sub-entire, purplish brown.. Male flowers densely fasciculate in all the axils of the flowering shoots; pedicels slender, 1 mm. long; sepals 5, ovate-suborbicular, adaxially concave, 0.5 mm. long, obtuse, rounded, truncate or retuse, white with a greenish median band; disc-glands 5, free, subglobose, ± smooth, fleshy; stamens 3–5, free, filaments 0.5 mm. long, anthers basifixed, 2-thecous, minute, the thecae ovoid, apically convergent, longitudinally dehiscent..
