Leaves shortly petiolate or sessile, narrowly elliptic or rarely elliptic, flat or adaxially concave, usually concolorous; lamina 3–16 mm long or rarely shorter. Inflorescence erect; involucral bracts 4, 4–12 mm long, 3–9 mm wide, glabrous inside, rarely ciliate in lower part. Flowers bisexual or female, glabrous inside, white or rarely pale yellow. Hypanthium not circumscissile, 6–12 mm long; ovary-portion with short and/or long hairs; style-portion 3–8 mm long. Sepals 2–4 mm long. Stamens shorter than sepals; filament 0.3–1.5 mm long.
