Inflorescence erect, compact, many-flowered; involucral bracts 6 or 8, ±ovate, 9–19 mm long, 4–8 mm wide, glabrous, green. Flowers bisexual, glabrous outside, pale to deep pink. Hypanthium 12–16 mm long, circumscissile; style-portion 9–12 mm long, hairy inside. Sepals 2–4 mm long, glabrous. Stamens usually longer than sepals; anther locules introrse. Ovary distally hairy.
