Characteristics

Shrub 0.3–1.5 m high. Stems glabrous. Leaves opposite, shortly petiolate, linear to ±narrowly elliptic, glabrous, concolorous, medium or darker green; lamina 6–40 mm long, 1.5–66 mm wide. Inflorescence or inflorescence unit terminal, becoming elongate and interrupted in fruit, to 25 mm long, many-flowered; involucral bract solitary or absent, sessile, ovate, 1.5–2 mm long, 0.5–1 mm wide, caducous, glabrous; pedicels glabrous. Male flowers glabrous, yellow; hypanthium 3–6.5 mm long, persistent; sepals 1.2–1.8 mm long, tardily shed. Female flowers not seen, probably similar to those of Pimelea spiculigera . Fruit dry, enclosed.
