Low shrub or undershrub. Young stems densely hairy. Leaves opposite, shortly petiolate, ±elliptic, densely hairy, concolorous, silvery; lamina 4–11 mm long, 1.5–5 mm wide. Inflorescence terminal, compact, usually 7–15-flowered; involucral bracts usually 2, sessile or subsessile, leaf-like in size, indumentum and colour. Flowers bisexual (possibly rarely unisexual), densely hairy outside, glabrous inside; pedicel densely hairy. Hypanthium 5–6 mm long, persistent; style-portion 3–4 mm long. Sepals 2–2.5 mm long, persistent. Ovary distally hairy. Fruit dry, enclosed.
