Shrub to 1.5 m high. Young stems hairy. Leaves alternate to subopposite, shortly petiolate, usually narrowly elliptic or narrowly obovate, sparsely covered by long hairs, dull green on adaxial surface, paler abaxially; lamina 7.5–23 mm long, 2.5–8 mm wide. Inflorescence terminal, compact, 3–6-flowered. Flowers bisexual, hairy outside, glabrous inside, white. Hypanthium c. 5 mm long; style-portion c. 2.5 mm long. Sepals spreading, c. 2.5 mm long. Stamens inserted at base of and exceeded by sepals; anther locules latrorse. Style not exserted.
