Characteristics

Plants forming dense clumps. Pseudobulbs 150–250 × 30–50 mm, often laterally flattened, crowded. Leaves spreading, 3 or 4 per pseudobulb, 250–350 × 30–50 mm, dark green, thin-textured, stiff. Racemes stiffly erect, 100–300 mm long, hairy, 15–50-flowered. Flowers cupped, hairy, 6–8 × 5–7 mm, white or cream, ovaries hairy, on stalks c. 8 mm long. Tepals with blunt tips. Dorsal sepal 6–7 × 3–4 mm. Lateral sepals 4.5–5 × 4.5–5 mm. Petals 5–6 × 3 mm. Labellum c. 5 × 4 mm, 3-lobed, with small basal spur; lateral lobes erect; midlobe short, recurved, with single prominent ridge.
