Plants usually with a single main growth suspended by 1 to a few roots. Stem 100–300 mm long, flattened. Leaves 50–100 × 10–15 mm, well-spaced, green or purplish, apex sharply pointed. Racemes 50–120 mm long, pendulous, 3–15-flowered. Flowers 5–6 × 6–8 mm, green or brown with a prominent white labellum, sometimes with mauve to purple markings. Sepals and petals widely spreading. Dorsal sepal 4–5 × 2 mm. Lateral sepals 6–7 × 2 mm. Petals 4–5 × 1.5 mm. Labellum 6–7 × 4 mm, white with green basal patch; lateral lobes c. 2 × 2 mm, nearly triangular, covering midlobe; midlobe c. 2 mm long, blunt; spur c. 3 mm long, curved, but parallel to column.
Widespread and common, especially in lowland sites; growing on shrubs and trees in shady, humid situations near streams, in steep gullies, sheltered slopes, swamps and on outer smaller branches and twigs of rainforest trees; less commonly on rocks.
