Leaf-blades ovate-lanceolate, 4–8 cm. long, 1.5–3 cm. wide, acute, base cuneate, glabrous, rather membranous and almost translucent; petiole 5–10 mm. long, base amplexicaul, often auriculate.. Peduncle bearing sparse or abundant, always prominent sessile glands; pedicels 1–2 mm. long; bracts lanceolate with a long acumen, very narrow, outer bract 4–5 mm. long, up to 1 mm. wide, inner pair 0.5–2 mm. long, up to 0.5 mm. wide, glabrous.. Calyx 13–15 mm. long, 1–1.5 mm. wide, not prominently ribbed, bearing sparse or abundant evenly distributed stalked glands; stalks very thin, not rigid, often curved, 0.5–2 mm. long; calyx-teeth up to 1.5–2 mm. long.. Corolla white; tube 26–28 mm.; lobes obovate, 10–11 mm. long, 5 mm. broad, acute, with shortly excurrent central nerve.. Fig. 3/3, p. 7.
