Characteristics

Much-branched shrub, becoming a small tree in moist shady conditions. Leaves obovate-elliptical, obtuse at base, mucronate. Inflorescences axillary, 1-or 2-flowered; peduncles almost as long as leaves; bracts broad, fused to form a calyptra. Flowers white or mauve with white central portion. Calyx sharp and pointed, ± length of keel, ferruginous-tomentose. Flowering time Sept.? Pod thinly villous with whitish hairs.
