Characteristics

Shrub to 1 m high, with densely rusty-pubescent young stems. Leaves: lamina obovate to broadly obovate, 2.2–11 mm long, 1.5–7 mm wide, base cuneate to almost truncate, margin recurved or level, apex obtuse to emarginate, slightly recurved; densely grey-stellate below with occasional ferruginous hairs, minutely stellate-velvety above; petiole 0.2–1.1 mm long; stipules ± linear, minute, 0.1–0.4 mm long, persistent. Inflorescence of cymose panicles with 20–40 flowers, axes and flowers densely white or greyish stellate-hairy. Pedicels 0.5–1 mm long. Flowers minute, white, hypanthium tube 0.2–0.  long, 0.7–0.8 mm diam. Sepals incurved or erect, 0.5–0.8 mm long. Petals 0.3–0.7 mm long. Stamens 0.3–0.4 mm long. Ovary inferior; style 0.2–0.3 mm. Fruit 3–4.5 mm long, torus medium to upper third. Seeds 1.8–2.5 mm long, reddish brown.
