Characteristics

Leaves 5.5–15 × 1–4.5 cm, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, tapering to an acute apex, cuneate at the base, glabrous; petiole 5–10 mm long; stipules 3–6 mm long, triangular-acuminate.

Fruit brown to greenish-black, about 9 × 10 mm, oblate, glabrous save near apex, at first crowned with persistent calyx limb but this eventually falls.
Calyx puberulous; tube 1 mm long; limb-tube 1 mm long, lobes 3–4, mostly linear, 1 mm long, calyx entirely covering the corolla in bud or not.
Inflorescences c. 10 mm long, sessile to pedunculate, the peduncle 5–10 mm long, puberulous; bracts 3 mm long, ovate, abruptly acuminate.
Corolla white, puberulous; tube 3–4 mm long; lobes 3.5 × 1.7 mm, ovate, acuminate.
