Flowers borne on old pseudobulbs when plants are leafless; inflorescence (floral axis) to 80 cm long, although usually much less, covered with scarious sheaths, with 1 to several short branches well spaced out on the rhachis, each several-flowered, the flowers opening over a long period.
Lip entire, shortly clawed, slightly recurved, 7–11 × 3–6.8 mm, ovate-oblong, rounded or emarginate at the apex, with a yellow, slightly pubescent, longitudinal callus in the basal third.
Leaves distichous, grass-like, 8–20 × 0.3–1.4 cm, linear, conduplicate, deciduous.
Erect epiphytic, lithophytic or terrestrial herb, with pseudobulbs clustered.
Pseudobulbs 1.5–5 × 0.6–1 cm, conical, 2–4-noded, 5–10-leaved.
Petals 5.8–11.6 × 1.5–4.5 mm, oblong to obovate, rounded.
Capsule cylindrical, 4–4.5 cm long and 3–4 mm wide.
Pedicel and ovary slender, 8–13 mm long.
Column 2.5–4 mm long, slightly winged.
Bracts 1 mm long, ovate acute.
