Characteristics

An epiphytic herb, 6.4–16 cm. high.. Pseudobulbs tightly clustered, from a short creeping rhizome, narrowly cylindric, 1.5–6.5 cm. long, 1–2 mm. in diameter, clothed in 2–3 membranous basal sheaths.. Leaf linear, cuneate below, subacute to obtuse, 5–11 cm. long, 3–7 mm. broad, coriaceous, articulated, 0.5–1 mm. above the pseudobulb apex.. Inflorescence shorter than the leaf, simply racemose, 0.8–4 cm. long, up to 4-flowered; peduncle slender, 0.4–2.3 cm. long, with a membranous basal sheath; bracts ovate-triangular, amplexicaul, acuminate, 3–6 mm. long.. Flowers pale green or dull yellow, marked with red.. Dorsal sepal triangular-ovate, shortly apiculate, 6.5–7 mm. long, 2.5–3.5 mm. broad; lateral sepals obliquely trangular, bluntly apiculate, 6–10 mm. long, 6–7 mm. broad; mentum ovoid-conical, curved, 6 mm. long.. Petals narrowly elliptic to obovate-lanceolate, subacute, 5.7–8 mm. long, 1.5 mm. broad.. Lip strongly recurved, sessile, obscurely to distinctly 3-lobed, with basal half ecallose, 6–8 mm. long, 4.5–6 mm. broad; side lobes erect, semi-elliptic; mid-lobe subquadrate-oblong, obtuse..
